Announcing RD’s 2021 March/April Poetry Micro-Resident!

We’re thrilled to announce that our March/April poetry micro-resident for 2021 is Lou Garcia-Dolnik!
 
Lou Garcia-Dolnik is a poet and editor working on unceded Gadigal land. Their writing has been awarded Second Prize in Overland‘s Judith Wright Poetry Prize, Third Prize in PRISM International‘s Pacific Spirit Poetry Prize, a place on the shortlist for the 2020 Blake Poetry Prize, the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s Writing Studio Program and a Varuna Residential Fellowship in 2021. Their work has been published in or is forthcoming with Australian Poetry JournalOverlandUn Magazine, Liminal, The Emerging Writers’ Festival, PRISM InternationalRabbit Poetry JournalScum Mag and Voiceworks. A poetry editor for Voiceworks and alumnus of the Banff Centre’s Emerging Writers Intensive, they are a 2020-21 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow. You can check out more of their work here.
 
Lou will produce new work over a two-month period (March/April), which will be distributed via Running Dog’s monthly newsletter. 
 
Running Dog will offer five micro-residencies in 2021: March/April, May,/June, July/August, September/October, and November/December. Call outs for each residency will take place in the month before they begin.
