Expressions of Interest: Running Dog Poetry Micro-Residency

16 May, 2019

Deadline: Friday 31st May (11:59pm)

As part of Running Dog’s commitment to broadening the scope of contemporary arts writing, we’re delighted to launch our first poetry micro-residency in June 2019.

This micro-residency is open to all poets, emerging or established, currently living in Australia. Previous experience working within the arts writing field is not required.

How does it work?

The micro-residency will be offered to one poet for the duration of two months. During this time, the poet in residence will produce two poems (ideally one per month). These two poems will each be distributed via Running Dog’s monthly newsletter to our readership.

The poet in residence will be paid $180 in total for the micro-residency.

We’re looking for writing that is contemplative, experimental, and above all NEW! The selected poet is encouraged to develop poetry during the residency so your expression of interest is all that’s needed for now.

Running Dog particularly encourages submissions from diverse writers and editors, including Indigenous Australians, queer and/or trans writers, people of colour and writers of all genders and abilities.
