Deadline: Wednesday 4th March (11.59pm)
Running Dog is currently seeking expressions of interest for a nine-month CALD editor-at-large who will work closely with the publication’s founding editor Naomi Riddle, and assistant editor Hannah Jenkins. This is a position for an experienced editor, and they will be responsible for commissioning one article per month. The successful applicant will begin work at the end of March 2020, and will coordinate Running Dog’s coverage of the 2020 Sydney Biennale.
Applicants are strongly advised to familiarise themselves with Running Dog’s work, ethos, and past contributors before applying. This can be found via our Letter from the Editor series, the articles on the main page, and the work of our Poetry Micro-Residents.
Please note: Running Dog’s weekly online content is currently focused on exhibitions and events taking place in Sydney and regional New South Wales. While we welcome applicants from other states, you will need to account for how you will negotiate these parameters.
This position is open to any editor who identifies as culturally and linguistically diverse. Applicants will be assessed by Naomi Riddle, Hannah Jenkins and Neha Kale.
The editor-at-large will be contracted to assist Running Dog’s editor Naomi Riddle, and assistant editor Hannah Jenkins, in the delivery of one article per month. They will be responsible for the following tasks:

— liaising with their chosen contributors, procuring signed writers agreements and coordinating text editing;
— assisting in preparing content for the website including copy editing, images and permissions, and other aspects of production for articles;
— discussing overall approaches and themes with the editorial team;
— assisting, where possible, in assessing Running Dog call outs throughout the year for both the themed online issues and poetry micro-residencies.
Total remuneration is $2,250 for the nine-month position ($250 per month).
Please send a cover letter and a one page CV to email@example.com. Your cover letter should outline your experience, your interest in the role, and how you would approach your coverage of the 2020 Sydney Biennale—NIRIN.
