Announcing RD’s 2020 June/July Poetry Micro-Resident!

We’re thrilled to announce that our June/July poetry micro-resident for 2020 is Nicole Wallace! 

Nicole Wallace is the author of the chapbook WAASAMOWIN (IMP, October 2019) and was a 2019 Poets House Emerging Poets Fellow. Currently based in occupied Lenape and Canarsie territories (so called Brooklyn, NY), she is the Managing Director of The Poetry Project. Recent work can be read in print in Survivance: Indigenous Poesis Vol. IV Zine and online at A Gathering of The TribesLitHub, Poets House, and A Perfect Vacuum. Originally from Gakaabikaang, located in what is currently called Minnesota, she is of settler/European ancestry and a descendent of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa (Ojibwe). 

Nicole will produce new work over a two month period (June/July), which will be distributed via Running Dog’s monthly newsletter at the end of July. 
 
Running Dog will offer five micro-residencies in 2020: February/March, April/May, June/July, August/September, and October/November. Call outs for each residency will take place in the month before they begin.
